Record Store Black Friday
Well now, I am off to the record store.
In a special bonus day to tide us over until the actual Record Store Day in April, today is Black Friday Record Store Day. So much better than three dollar toasters and five dollar DVD stocking stuffers: limited edition vinyl and a special Black Friday advance release of the bonus version of High Violet from The National that I’ve got my eye on.
What did you all pick up?

Sigh… nothing…
I Really want that Cee-Lo single and the U2 release,
but alas, visiting the parents where no record stores are within a reasonable drive…

I kinda surprised myself and bought the Jimi Hendrix Christmas single. Thought about getting the Black Keys’ bonus edition of Brothers but $40 was too steep.

Didn’t even know about (or see) High Violet! I did pick up the U2, Dr. Dog, and Grinderman releases (and a plethora of local albums I didn’t have yet).

New Iron & Wine, Gaslight Anthem, National. My store also had some items they haven’t had that I picked up like all the New Pornographers albums (Mass Romantic through Twin Cinema are the ones I was missing), Avett Bros. Emotionalism, and Black Keys Thickfreakness on picture disc….Loving Side A of Iron & Wine.
